The Brazilian star Offers Apology to The Madrid Club Devotees

Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has apologised to fans for his reaction when replaced in Sunday's fiery Clasico clash victory.

He was substituted in the second half and showed his annoyance by walking immediately to the dressing room.

The Brazilian subsequently came back to the sidelines and, following his club's 2-1 victory, tried to confront Barça's youngster Yamal during unsavoury after the game incidents.

"This day I want to apologise to all the Madridistas for my reaction when I was replaced in the Clasico," Vinicius shared on social media.

"In the same way as I have said in person during this morning's practice, I wish to express regret anew to my team-mates, the team, and the president.

"Occasionally passion takes over me because I continuously aim to triumph and assist my side. My winning mentality stems from the passion I feel for this club and each thing it stands for."

He signed for Madrid from Flamengo in 2018 for a significant fee and has notched triple figures in 335 appearances.

But his career in the La Liga is uncertain with rumors in lately indicating that the club would consider permitting the young star move on if they were to receive a suitable offer.

When he was taken off on the match day, cameras from network the service recorded him remarking: "Always me! I'm leaving the team! It's preferable if I leave, I'm moving on."

In his new message on social media, the athlete stated: "I commit to keep battling constantly for the benefit of the club, as I have performed since the initial arrival."
