Prolific young adult author and TV personality David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A spokesman for the company stated: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an review of reports of inappropriate behaviour towards female individuals.
The publisher has not elaborated on the motivations for this action, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Some of his titles, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released more than 40 books altogether, encompassing a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the selection of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's new chief executive in October.
